Planning to replace your natural lawn with a new Artificial Lawn may feel like a daunting task. If you are unsure of where to start, we’re here to help. ‘Plan Your Project’ guide gives you advice on how to sketch out a plan of your garden and choose where you want your artificial grass, where you have flower borders or any trees etc and to be able to work out the best plan to make the grass joins and installation as efficient as possible.
HOW TO PLAN WHAT YOU NEED TO LAY YOUR GRASS YOURSELF
Working out what you need to install artificial grass is simple - simply sketch out the area you want to cover with the grass by using the sizing guide below. following these simple steps:
1. Draw your garden and the area you wish to cover with Artificial Grass. Try to plan your area so that the grass will be laid with the minimum number of joints possible, ensuring that all sections run in the same direction. This will aid your installation and ensure a more professional finish. Keep in mind that grass from Go Artificial Grass comes in 2m and 4m widths and is available in lengths of up to 30m. We also recommend an allowance of approximately 20cm to be added on just to allow for cutting in and trimming.
2. Work out the square meterage of grass you need to order, this will also be the quantity of weed membrane you need (this prevents weeds growing through your new lawn)
3. Then calculate the length of the joins between sections as this will be the amount of joining tape you require and will determine which type and quantity of adhesive you require.
